As I take stock of my life, there are definite positives and negatives.
But, whenever I stop and take a hard look at the good, the bad, and the ugly in my life, I’m always amazed by all of my blessings.
So, in celebration of this year’s day of thanks, I wanted to compile my list of “thanks.”
I’m thankful for my God—the God of our Country—the mightiest, kindest, awe-inspiring God I could ever hope to worship and love.
I love you God—my Lord and Savior.
I’m thankful for my Parents—Charles and Amy Bolado—the greatest parents I could ever wish for.
I love you Mom and Dad. I always think about you and imagine when, one day, I will be able to give you a hug again and tell you how much I love you.
I’m thankful for Renee, the best sister in the whole world. I love you, Sis. I wish only the best for you and I hope you know what an inspiration you are to me.
I’m thankful that I have been blessed to live in the greatest country in the history of humanity. I love you—The Republic of the United States of America. I kiss your ground and could not have more love for a country that has been so kind and generous to me and my Family.
The Bolados will never stop loving the United States.
I’m thankful for the US Soldier.
I have no words to express my gratitude for all of your sacrifices.
I have nothing to give you, to repay for your dedicated service.
God bless you USA Warrior—alive or dead.
The Lord bless Thee, and keep Thee:
The Lord make his face shine upon Thee, and be gracious unto Thee:
The Lord lift up his countenance upon Thee, and give Thee peace.
I’m thankful for our Police, the men and women who wear blue, and provide the valuable service of cleaning our society from law-breakers and criminals.
I’m thankful for first responders who every day try to protect us and our property from disaster, and fight to save lives.
I’m thankful for my health. If a person has health, they have a gift that is priceless.
I’m thankful for my life. Whether I ever accomplish all the things I hope to, I will always treasure the next moment of life, the next quality breath I take, the next joy I experience, the next person I can positively impact, the next chance to love in spirit and in Truth.
I’m thankful for my future wife.
My Beloved, I’m divorced and I have much culpability in the failure of my first marriage. I’m wiser—I hope—and if I’m ever blessed to meet you, and win your love, I will work hard to never cause you pain. I pray to the Lord to give me the strength to love you as my Father loved my Mother.
I’m thankful for my future Sons and Daughters.
My dear Children, I have learned much in my life, yet there is so much I do not know. I hope to impart whatever wisdom I’ve accumulated and pass it on to you. I hope I am able to show you many things and that you learn good things from me, and hopefully you do not make the same mistakes I did.
Most of all—I hope I’m able to love you with the same purity and compassion as my Heavenly Father, and my biological Mother and Father, have loved me.
I’m thankful for the sunrise.
I’m thankful for the sunset.
I’m thankful for good food, a loving home, and a warm bed.
I’m thankful for a clean conscience, and that I’m able to look in the mirror and like who I see.
I’m thankful for my work, and hope my words help and comfort people.
I’m thankful for music, song, and dance.
I’m thankful, for Heaven.
I’m thankful for our earth.
I’m thankful for yesterday. I’m thankful for today. I’m thankful for tomorrow.
I’m thankful…
